It is our policy to comply with our statutory obligations under the relevant race relations, sex discrimination and employment equality legislation.  Accordingly, it is our practice not to treat one group of people less favourably than others because of their colour, race, nationality, sex, age or ethnic origin in relation to decisions to train or promote employees.

In practice, our colleagues make up a mixed team whom reflect the mix of candidates and clients with whom we work.

We will seek to promote equal opportunities and prevent harassment and bullying by publicising and communicating this policy; by providing appropriate training and guidelines for those with designated responsibilities and by raising awareness through staff development.

We continually monitor our policies and practices to ensure that these principles are upheld.  It is the employee’s right to be treated with dignity and respect, which in turn will be conducive to performance, self-development and career advancement.

Our recruitment team are assessed against qualitative and quantitative ‘Key Performance Indicators’.  We only therefore select and promote staff based on merit.  This system is fully auditable.

We employ external trainers from the REC to undertake equality and diversity training on a quarterly basis.  All team members are working towards their diploma in recruitment practice which entails evidencing a continual understanding of equal opportunities statutory obligations during the recruitment process and in the work place more generally.  Four of our employees have achieved the full diploma.

We retain the services of an employment law specialist – MHL Support to provide employee support lines, continual legal updates, and quarterly training for our staff and employment law financial insurance policies for protection.

Diversity

The Red Snapper Group is an Equal Opportunities employer and committed to promoting diversity through all recruitment projects undertaken as laid out in our company Equal Opportunities policy.

Our online registration process does not collect information on ethnicity or age, which means they cannot be considered as a motivating factor when searching our database for suitably skilled candidates.

The majority of the business support government agencies and we have a 4 year track record in meeting and surpassing their expectations in terms of ensuring we deliver candidates who reflect the diverse community we live in.

Both our recruitment and selection methods and our internal progression and promotion processes follow a strict score card system.  When recruiting or promoting team members they are assessed against qualitative and quantitative Key Performance Indicators.  We only therefore select and promote staff based on merit.  This system is fully auditable.

We employ external trainers from our governing body the REC to undertake equality and diversity training on a quarterly basis.
